The blaze broke out in one rowhome in the 1100 block of Taylor Street in Folcroft Borough at about 3 p.m.,  Assistant Fire Chief of the Folcroft Borough Fire Company Robert Thompson Jr. told Daily Voice.

Everyone made it out of the homes as the fire spread, Thompson said. There were no injuries.

Not every home on the block caught on fire, but flames burned through the main power pole which caused PECO to shut off electricity to the area, an NBC 10 News report states.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to Thompson.

Thompson confirmed to Daily Voice that Folcroft Borough is taking donations for the displaced families.

"We are getting in a lot of donations already!" a borough Facebook post states. "Thank you again to this amazingly generous community!"

The Red Cross is also working with the families, the post notes.

The borough asked that all donations be dropped off at the borough hall, according to the Facebook post.
